When there are no experts, myths speak

๐Ÿ“บ An almost 8-minute TSN story about how harmful electronic cigarettes are and how "any teenager can buy them" was broadcast on national television.

๐Ÿ”น The video contains a set of old myths - about "avioli" (a lung disease that actually arose as a result of the use of narcotic mixtures through electronic cigarettes), about "poisoning of youth" and "threat to life".
๐Ÿ”น The climax of the plot is the moment when a minor buys an "excise" cartridge at a regular kiosk - an official product for which all taxes have been paid. And this is called a "violation".

โ—๏ธThe problem is not in the plot itself. The problem is the lack of a single expert platform that journalists can turn to in order to get reliable information.
When there is no such source, manipulations, invented stories and "sensations" appear.

๐Ÿค This is precisely why VARES exists - the All-Ukrainian Association of the Electronic Cigarette Market.
We are building a platform that speaks facts, not myths.
